Andrew is volofin’s General Counsel and responsible for all legal, regulatory and compliance related activities. He trained at DLA Piper prior to qualifying in 2010 and specialising in aviation finance and leasing.  He joined volofin in January 2019 from Addleshaw Goddard LLP, where he served as a Managing Associate in the Asset Finance team.  From 2011 through 2017, he worked as an Associate in the Transportation and Space Group at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP.  He was one of the original members of the London-based Transportation and Space Group, and helped position Milbank as a top-tier aviation finance law firm.  Andrew has served a number of clients across the aviation industry, including aircraft lessors, investment platforms, banks, export development agencies and airlines on a broad set of lease, financing, aircraft acquisition and sale transactions, and manufacturer support agreements.  He participated in multiple secondment assignments with several clients including Magnetar Capital LLC, Eversholt Rail Group, Airbus and TUI Travel PLC.   Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (with honours) from the University of Manchester, and GDL and LPC (with commendations) from the Nottingham Law School, UK.

In 2022, Andrew was named by Airline Economics in its annual “40 under 40” list and received their prestigious Future Leader 2022 award at a ceremony in London. The list is compiled by Airline Economics based on nominations made by colleagues and peers in the aviation industry and the Future Leader award is given to the individual with the most – and most impressive – nominations from clients and senior industry figures. In the article, clients praised Andrew for “his commercial mind and resourcefulness, excellent project management skills and for always adopting a constructive approach to resolving issues while maintaining a personable approach.”
