Andrew Hurst

manager, portfolio management

Andrew leads volofin’s Portfolio Management team which also includes oversight of certain outsourced loan management services provided by a loan and corporate administration services partner. Over a 35 year career in the financial services sector, Andrew has gained invaluable experience through a wide range of banking roles.  Starting his career in the 1980s, he experienced first-hand the boom in financial services following the ‘Big Bang’ deregulation of the City of London.  Progressively working his way through junior administrative positions at Daiwa Bank and merchant bank Samuel Montague (now part of HSBC) Andrew was asked to rejoin Daiwa in its corporate and investment banking team, taking responsibility for arranging bi-lateral loans and private placements.   Prior to joining volofin, Andrew worked for 14 years in the London office of Italian Bank, Intesa Sanpaolo, his final promotion being to head of syndications and structuring.  These varied roles have provided Andrew with the flexible skills required to manage and administer volofin’s increasing AUM.   A keen cyclist in his spare time, Andrew is also a vocal supporter of his local football team, Colchester United.
