Nolan Heske

Nolan has over 17 years of experience specializing in aviation fixed income and aircraft-backed financings.  He has held senior positions at various financial services firms as a trader, structured finance professional and research analyst.  Over the course of his career, he actively traded both secured and unsecured aviation related loans and securities, including EETCs, ETCs/PTCs and Aircraft & Engine ABS.  Nolan joins volofin from Air Funding LLC, a start-up direct lending platform he co-founded in 2016 to offer bespoke financing solutions for commercial aviation investment firms, lessors and airlines.  From 2009 through 2016, he was a Managing Director, and one of the founders of the Aviation and Transportation Group at Jefferies LLC, where he structured and traded aviation debt securities and loans for a broad institutional customer base.  Prior to Jefferies, he co-founded the aviation trading platform within the structured products group at Guggenheim Securities.  Prior to this, he held various institutional sales positions which focused on the broader fixed income marketplace.  Nolan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Villanova University, and received his MBA in Finance from Fordham University.
