John has served in senior banking positions at Citigroup and Credit Suisse for over thirty years. He combines deep, specialized knowledge in the air transportation and aerospace sectors with broad experience ranging from investment banking and corporate banking, structured equipment finance, leasing, principal finance, and balance sheet and business restructuring. His work has included fund raising across the capital structure from public and private debt and equity markets, to highly structured debt products, advising on mergers and acquisitions, principal investing and restructuring troubled situations in and out of court. He has broad experience in resolving complex problems that require creative and practical solutions. He had continuous leadership responsibility for transaction management and client-based businesses during his many assignments with the Citigroup and Credit Suisse organizations. John has wide-ranging cross-cultural business experience. He has managed and closed various transactions for clients in North and South America, Japan and Australasia and Western Europe.  A team player with a consensus decision-making style, John has been effective at working with other professionals and Boards of Directors.

After retiring from banking, John has joined various private and public company boards of directors.  He currently serves on the board of directors of two private, commercial jet engine leasing companies. He is a board member and chairs the audit committees of two related but separately incorporated, privately held companies – Quintillion Holdings, LLC and Quintillion Undersea Holdings, LLC; Quintillion is building and will operate a subsea and a terrestrial fiber optic cable systems connecting the northern coast of Alaska from Nome to Prudhoe Bay and along the north slope oil fields to Anchorage.  John is also an independent director and a member of the audit committee of Volaris, a publicly traded commercial airline operating from Mexico (NYSE: VLRS / BOLSA: VOLAR).

John earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University, and a Master in Management degree from the Kellogg School, Northwestern University.
